CWSA hosts Quality and Accountability ToT in Bangkok from 6 to 11 December

Geneviève Cyvoct, our Senior Quality and Accountability Officer, will be contributing to a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop organised by Community World Service Asia (CWSA) in Bangkok from 6 to 11 December. The workshop aims to “enhance collective quality and accountability toward people affected by crisis”.

The ToT will take an innovative approach, highlighting the links between the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS), the new Sphere Handbook, of which the CHS is a foundation chapter, and the Humanitarian Standards Partnership (HSP).

Geneviève will also be participating in a panel discussion marking the launch of the new Sphere Handbook on 11 December. The discussion will be opened by Martin Parvez, Regional Director of CWSA and introduced by Christine Knudsen, Executive Director of Sphere.

Geneviève will present the key highlights of the 2018 Humanitarian Accountability Report, which looks at the issue of change in the humanitarian sector under the light of change theories The launch of the Sphere handbook will also include a share fare during which participants will be able to exchange directly with quality and accountability stakeholders present, such as the CHS Alliance.
