Join the CHS members’ Donor Recognition Working Group
Open to all CHS Alliance members
Donors play a vital role in encouraging accountability to people affected by crisis. Yet many organisations still face heavy, duplicated due diligence demands, and many donors know little about the CHS or how its verification can give them the assurance they need.
The Donor Recognition Working Group brings CHS Alliance members together to change that. Members share experience, learn from one another and work with the CHS Alliance team to increase donor recognition of the CHS and its verification options, including the passporting of donor due diligence.
Greater donor recognition of the CHS can strengthen quality and accountability, support localisation and reduce the bureaucratic burden on organisations.
What the group does
- Maps how donors recognise and use the CHS, and identifies new opportunities as they emerge.
- Brings members together in joint initiatives with donors, such as pooled funds and NGO joint funding platforms.
- Develops shared arguments, materials and communication tools, and shares learning on where challenges and blockages have been met.
Who can join
The group is open to all CHS Alliance members who want to contribute. We ask for one person per organisation. We particularly welcome members who:
- have experience of donor advocacy, due diligence, harmonisation or passporting
- have led a CHS verification process in their organisation, whether self-assessment, independent verification or certification.
The group meets online, in English.
