CHS Verification: improving our Verification Scheme

An important aspect of CHS Alliance membership is encouraging our members to verify the degree to which they apply the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS). Three years into this scheme, we have learnt a lot from the various verification processes our members have undertaken. It is now time to assimilate that learning and look to the future, to encourage progress in terms of organisations assessing how they meet the Standard. As such, we have worked with our Board to produce the following Terms of Reference for a review of the Scheme.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to this review as it gets underway. Please let us know if you have any initial questions about this review process. We hope these developments continue to support you in your learning, dissemination and engagement with the CHS – a Standard that is arguably more critical than ever, as we seek to improve our collective work with and for people affected by crisis.
