2021 Nominations pack

Our talented and diverse Board plays a key governance role for the CHS Alliance, ensuring that the interests of the membership are represented, that we are accountable to all our stakeholders, and provide strategic guidance so we can better meet the needs of people affected by crisis.

As a number of current Board members’ terms of office will be ending, or up for renewal, early next year there will be a virtual General Assembly vote to elect new Board members in March 2021.

We are looking for humanitarian or development professionals who have high integrity and are passionate about making aid work better for people affected by crisis. Candidates can be leaders of our member organisations, or independent nominations.

In 2021, we will have a maximum of eight positions to fill

  • 6 full members representatives (maximum)
  • 2 independent Board members (maximum)

Specific skills we are seeking in this election

  • Financial expertise. We are looking for someone with the skills and experience to take on the key role of the Board’s future Treasurer.
  • Human resources, organisational development and people management expertise.

Other skills we are looking for include:

  • community building
  • rights of crisis-affected individuals and communities (in particular women’s rights and child’s rights)
  • standard-setting and policy development
  • communications

If you know of someone who has the skills, experience and commitment to sit on the CHS Alliance Board, then do consider nominating them!

Please confer with your colleagues: each CHS Alliance member can only submit one nomination for the CHS Alliance Board.

The deadline to submit nominations is 31 January 2021 (midday GMT).
