Join the CHS Alliance Verification Advisory Panel (VAP)
Are you committed to quality and accountability in aid? The CHS Alliance is seeking 2–3 independent experts to join its Verification Advisory Panel (VAP) — a group that ensures the CHS Verification Scheme remains credible, fair, and effective. Please see the Terms of Reference for more details.
Role of the Panel
The VAP provides independent oversight and technical guidance to maintain a robust and credible verification process. Panel members contribute to:
- Offer technical oversight and quality assurance for the CHS Verification Scheme
- Review and advise on verification methods and third-party bodies
- Promoting alignment with international standards and practices
Time Commitment & Term
- Voluntary position (no remuneration, but travel expenses may be covered)
- Approximately 3–4 days per year
- Three-year term, renewable once
- ~4 meetings annually (mostly virtual)
Who We are Looking For
We welcome experts in:
- CHS implementation and verification, quality assurance, or certification systems
- Standards like ISO 9001, SA8000, IIA CIA, Fair Trade, GRI, EFQM, COSO, etc.
- Donor due diligence or governance of verification systems
We strongly encourage candidates from underrepresented groups, especially the Global South. Please note that applicants must not represent a CHS-verified organisation or hold a conflicting role.
