Aim of the organisation

The Church is guided by the Master Strategic Plan (2016-2025 “Vision 2025”) whose Vision is “A faster growing Sustainable Christ Centred Church” and mission “To proclaim the gospel in accordance with Christ Commission to make disciples of all nations”. Church of Uganda delivers its mandates through the eight (8) directorates i.e., (i) Mission and outreach (ii) Finance, Planning and Investment, (iii) Household and Community Transformation (HCT), (iv) Education, (v) Health, (vi) Land use management (vii) management support services(viii) Audit and quality assurance services. CHS will be coordinated by the directorate of Household and community Transformation. This directorate, is the development arm of Church of Uganda mandated to facilitate socio-economic development work and community transformation among communities using non segregated approaches to fight against poverty, disease, illiteracy, injustice, and marginalization of the poor in society.

Organisation activities

• To empower and facilitate households and communities to realize and harness their potential for sustainable development. • To promote and ensure sustainable utilization, development and effective management of natural resources for socio-economic development in the Province • Develop policies on key strategic focus areas. This is done through the strategic areas of : Food security and Sustainable Livelihoods, Climate Change and Environmental management, Gender & Social Justice, Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Response and Institutional capacity and systems strengthening.
