The CHS Alliance is a global movement of more than 280 organisations committed to making aid more accountable, effective, and safer. United by a belief that people and communities affected by crisis should influence and shape the assistance they receive, our members work together across 190 countries to uphold dignity, equity, and respect in humanitarian and development action.

This strategy sets out our shared ambition to drive collective solutions that transform the way aid is delivered. It builds on the collective strength of our network and the lessons learned from organisations verifying and improving against the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS). In an era of rising needs, shrinking resources, and complex crises, only coordinated, people-centred action can achieve lasting change.

The CHS Alliance Strategy 2026–2030 calls for a renewed focus on working together – aligning efforts, reducing duplication, and harnessing our combined influence for a safer, more locally-led aid system. It invites all organisations to move beyond commitment to collaboration, and to turn shared principles into practical, evidence-based action that delivers real accountability to the people we exist to support.
