CHS Alliance is excited to announce that it now counts with two e-learning courses, both developed through collaborative processes:
Developed through a collaborative process with the Humanitarian Leadership Academy (HLA), Sphere, Groupe URD and IECAH, this course is available to access on Kaya, HLA's new online learning platform.
The course is based on four scenarios and covers the history of the CHS, its structure and scope, the Nine Commitments, the principles underpinning it, links between the CHS and other standards, the responsibilities that the CHS places on humanitarian workers and organisations, and how individuals and organisations can apply the CHS.
The CHS online course is designed for anyone who wants to use the CHS in their work and takes approximately one hour to complete. It is offered free of charge - just register online here for access. It is currently available in English, French, Arabic and Swahili and will be available in Spanish in the coming months.
Developed through a collaborative process with IECAH and the support of the German Governement, this course is available to access here.
The course consists in three modules and three exercises which include: a reminder of the different elements of the CHS, what is verification and the different CHS verification options, and how to plan, conduct and report on the CHS self-assessment. The three exercises provide an opportunity to exercise scoring as well as writing and analyzing a summary report.
The CHS Self-Assessment course is designed for staff members of organisations (head and field offices) planning to undertake the CHS self-assessment. It can also be informative for anyone wishing to know more about the different verification options provided along with the CHS. The course is offered free of charge.
