As a member of the CHS Alliance, your organisation has adopted and committed to applying the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS).
Based on the experience of the organisations which have verified the degree to which they effectively apply the Standard, as well as the information we have collected in the process, we would like to invite you to explore the potential of the CHS as a driver of change.
- What we have learned, as organisations and collectively, through the verification process, including in some of the most challenging areas, such as the Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), complaints handling and feedback mechanisms (including in the most challenging areas of protection against sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), complaints response mechanisms and the participation of crisis-affected people and communities in the humanitarian response. in the humanitarian response);
- How we leverage this learning to change and, ultimately, improve our service to crisis-affected people and communities;
- How the CHS Alliance can support its members and the wider sector to effectively apply the CHS, with a special focus on those areas where we are particularly struggling to meet our commitments.
Based in London, this learning event primarily aims at member organisations and practitioners active in the area. In the coming months, similar events will take place in other venues, targeting member organisations in other areas of the world. The event is based on group learning, enabling participants to share their experiences and insights with one another.
