Based in the UK
I am an independent consultant with over 25 years of experience in project management and training. My experience with quality and accountability began at the same time as my career in the humanitarian field in 2000. In my first role, I served as Country Director for Mercy Corps Turkey earthquake relief operations where I managed one of the earlier translations of the Sphere Handbook into Turkish followed by a Sphere training of trainers (ToT). Following that, I have been heavily involved in promoting quality and accountability across Africa and Asia with organisations such as Community World Service, World Vision and RedR. My trainings in the areas of quality and accountability have included the Core Humanitarian Standard, the Sphere Project, HAP Standard, Red Cross/Red Crescent Code of Conduct, Do No Harm and Sphere Companion standards. I also conduct trainings in disaster risk reduction, managing people and projects, needs assessment/monitoring and organisational development.
