Ester DrossEster is an accountability, PSEA, gender and child protection specialist with over 20 years of experience with humanitarian agencies, the ICRC and UN. She has worked in many countries and with colleagues from all over the world. She has had extensive exposure to humanitarian certification systems and accountability to affected populations and has been closely involved in the Building Safer Organisations Project since 2005, dealing with sexual exploitation and abuse of beneficiaries. She led a pilot programme for FAO covering accountability in emergencies, working for different organisations to support gender, child protection and accountability policies, designing field and headquarters trainings, contributed to a study on value for money in the humanitarian sector, and has developed e-learning tools. Ester has extensive expertise in conducting investigations into allegations of staff misbehavior including sexual exploitation and abuse, fraud and corruption. She has conducted investigations for various organisations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Mali, Central African Republic, South Sudan, Tanzania and other countries. She speaks French, German, English, Spanish and Italian.
