Organisation activities

1. Food and nutrition security: We strengthen the capacities of individual households to produce sufficient food, while also earning an income from farming. We build the capacity of producer organizations so they can support poor households and contribute to awareness raising and advocacy at promoting healthy and sustainable food and nutrition practices for all household members.

2. Economic empowerment: We support poor farmers and producer organizations to seize economic opportunities to improve and sustain farmers’ livelihoods. The Market Systems Development approach is used to facilitate access to resources. Capacity development helps to enhance farmers’ technical and business skills.

3. Emergency response: We respond to emergencies and create resilient communities that are adequately prepared for, and can effectively respond to disasters. We integrate disaster risk reduction and resilience strategies in our food security, economic empowerment and humanitarian programs.
