World Humanitarian Summit
CHS Alliance is calling on stakeholders attending the World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) in Istanbul, 23-24 May 2016 to adopt, use and monitor the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) as proposed in the official invitation to the People at the Centre Special Session of the summit.
CHS Alliance and its members are taking part in a number of panels and events at the first-ever such summit, which takes place under the theme of “One Humanity: Shared Responsibility”.
- Make a commitment - Support CHS Alliance and our members by committing to the CHS. We will share more information on this once the WHS secretariat has defined how stakeholders can express their commitments.
- Join the discussion - CHS Alliance, together with the Sphere Project and Groupe URD, will hold a WHS side event hosted by the Swiss and Danish governments entitled, “Quality and Accountability: It is not enough to do the things right, the right things have to be done”. If you are attending the WHS, please join us at this event.
- Sign up for our newsletter - We will have regular updates on our involvement in the WHS in our upcoming newsletters. You can subscribe via the "stay informed" link at the top of this page.
