The CHS Alliance welcomes new full members Danish People’s Aid and Nordisk Hjälp
The CHS Alliance is pleased to welcome two new full members: Danish People’s Aid and Nordisk Hjälp. Their short introduction can be found below:
Danish People’s Aid - With its origins in the Danish labour unions, Danish People’s Aid fundraises through local chapter volunteers. They are specialists in first aid and in shelter construction. They are involved in emergency relief internationally, with their largest programme being in Afghanistan. They also provide support and assistance to vulnerable people affected by poverty in Denmark. Nordisk Hjälp - This organisation has its headquarters in Sweden, and works primarily in the Middle East with the aim of fighting poverty and promoting democracy. It undertakes development projects focusing on human rights, with funding from the Swedish government. Its humanitarian relief operations include distribution of food packages and clothes.
