New animation: Learn about the CHS verification options
We’re excited to share our new animation that gives an overview of the options for verification against the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS).
The CHS is a measurable standard which means organisations can objectively assess their application of it. This short animation explains the four verification options available in the CHS Verification Scheme: self-assessment, peer review, independent verification, and certification. The scheme is managed by the CHS Alliance and all options are open to both CHS Alliance members and non-members. Each option provides valuable information on an organisation’s strengths in applying the CHS and areas for improvement.

The animation is currently available in English, French and Spanish, with Arabic to follow. We encourage you to share the resource with colleagues and use it as an induction or training tool. Find out more about verification against the CHS here.
Earlier this year, we also launched an animation giving an introduction to the CHS. The four-minute animation highlights the importance of accountability to affected communities and gives an overview of the Nine Commitments of the CHS. You can watch the animation below in English, French and Spanish with an Arabic version to launch soon.
