Meet the Core Humanitarian Competency Framework (CHCF) project team in Dhaka on 18-21
The CHS Alliance Core Humanitarian Competency Framework (CHCF) project team will next be in Dhaka, Bangladesh where they are attending the National DEPP Learning event at the BRAC Centre on 18-19 April.
The team, Uma Narayanan and Gemma Prescott, will be joining on both days of the conference to promote the new translated framework and tools, and to give a dedicated introduction presentation to illustrate the uses and benefits of this tried and tested approach to people management in disaster responses.
They are then available on 20-21 April for 1:1 consultation sessions and to give extra guidance to any organisations in Dhaka that are interested in using the CHCF focussed employee management tools. They would be particularly keen to work with NGOs and learning institiutes.

DEPP National Conference scheduled to be held on 18 April 2017 and the thematic sessions on 19 April 2017. The venue of the thematic sessions will be Save the Children's office (Annex building at Gulshan 2 road 43, house 35). Gemma and Uma will talk about the CHCF at 13:30-15:30.
The main objective of national learning conference is to bring humanitarian actors in the country to share learning amongst each other. Hence, DEPP members are joining hands with Humanitarian Leadership Academy (HLA), Department of Disaster Management (DDM) and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society (IFRC) and local organisations for this conference.
